Find the Best Vegan Soups in Atlanta at Arden's Garden

Arden’s Garden has been Atlanta’s favorite for fresh juices, smoothies, and vegan snacks for 30 years, but here’s a little secret: we also serve soup.

Arden’s Garden has been Atlanta’s favorite for fresh juices, smoothies, and vegan snacks for 30 years, but here’s a little secret: we also serve soup. And in keeping with our goal of providing good, hearty, plant-based food for Atlanta and beyond, our soup is vegan! The kind of vegan soup that warms your soul and nourishes your body on a cold winter day. Ready to grab a spoon and settle in?

How Vegan Soups Started at Arden’s Garden

In 2016, Leslie Zinn, CEO of Arden’s Garden, wanted to bring something that resembled “comfort food” to our stores. That’s when our signature Thai Veggie Curry was born, and it was love at first taste. It’s fresh, flavorful, and still on the menu today because y’all can’t get enough. And honestly? Neither can we.

We started making vegan soups because, let’s face it, finding a healthy, vegan soup option is more complicated than it should be. Many vegetable soups can be deceiving. They are often made with chicken or beef stock or else contain milk, cream, or hidden bits of pork products. Our vegan soups avoid beef and chicken stocks and instead, we let the ingredients and vegetables do the flavoring.

What Soups Do We Have on the Menu?

Oh, we’ve got options.

Butternut Squash Soup: It's warming, it's filling, and oh so soothing for the soul and your body. Butternut squash is high in fiber, which can help keep your gut in tip-top shape, and beta-carotene, which is excellent for skin and eye health. We combined it with coconut milk and a touch of ginger for a creamy, flavorful treat. Most people might think of this ingredient as a fall staple, but we are here to break the mold and show you it's just as yummy during pre-spring time.

Tomato & Roasted Garlic Soup: We took your classic favorite and put our spin on it! Our version of tomato soup features extra creaminess from cashews and a savory depth of roasted garlic, with a splash of crushed red pepper. No grilled cheese needed!

But here’s the thing: our soup season is a winter special at Arden’s Garden. They take a little hiatus when the weather warms up. So, if you’re craving that cozy, grab-it-while-you-can bowl of goodness, now’s the time to get on it.

Some of our other seasonal offerings (which we like to swap in and out) include:

Thai Veggie Curry: This was the first vegan soup we ever offered at Arden’s Garden, and it remains a top pick. This one’s like a hug in a bowl. It’s a fragrant, flavorful option made with onions, carrots, tomatoes and spinach.  We use coconut milk, lemon grass, cilantro and curry for that Thai flavor. A splash of cumin and smoked paprika give this soup that extra zing!

Smoky White Bean Soup: This beauty pulls from our Southern roots. It’s comforting, flavorful, and has that “just like home” feeling. Perfect for a chilly Atlanta day or any day you need a little comfort. Navy beans are the hero in this soup, paired with creamy coconut milk, onions, potatoes, carrots, celery, and kale. A little garlic, some dried sage, and a dash of black pepper make this a hearty soup that’s filling.
