Visiting Atlanta for FIFA during the World Cup and looking for great vegan cafes, restaurants and food options while you're in town? Whether you’re heading to Mercedes-Benz Stadium, exploring the BeltLine, or spending the weekend discovering Atlanta neighborhoods, the city has no shortage of plant-based spots worth adding to your itinerary.
As a longtime vegan and Atlanta local, Arden’s Garden CEO Leslie Zinn has spent years discovering some of the city’s favorite vegan restaurants, cafes, smoothies, and late-night spots. From casual brunches to late-night bites and quick bites between matches, here’s our guide to some of the best vegan food in Atlanta during FIFA season.
Brunch | Muchacho: Start your morning at Muchacho in Reynoldstown or West Midtown, one of Leslie’s favorite spots for coffee, brunch, and patio vibes. The breakfast skillet can easily be made vegan, while the cauliflower al pastor taco with pineapple, cilantro, and lime delivers the perfect balance of smoky, bright, and fresh flavors to kick off the day.

Lunch | Tru Food Kitchen: For a midday reset, Leslie recommends True Food Kitchen at Lenox Square. It’s an easy stop if you’re spending the afternoon shopping or exploring Buckhead, and the outdoor patio makes it especially nice during Atlanta summers. The Spaghetti Squash Casserole layered with caramelized onions and rich tomato sauce is comforting without feeling too heavy before heading back into the city.
Afternoon | BeltLine + Smoothie Stop: No Atlanta visit feels complete without time spent on the BeltLine. Spend the afternoon walking through Piedmont Park, exploring local shops, or wandering the Eastside Trail before cooling off with a smoothie or cold-pressed juice from our Piedmont Park Arden’s Garden location conveniently located right along the BeltLine trail.
Late Night | R. Thomas: If you're still exploring the city after the match, R. Thomas has long been an Atlanta staple for late-night vegan-friendly food. Leslie recommends the vegan veggie burger, and if you’re lucky enough to stop by when they have a vegan cake on rotation, don’t skip dessert.
While you’re enjoying the FIFA matches at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, there are several vegan and plant-based options at Mercedes-Benz stadium worth checking out between kickoff and extra time.
Hot Press Express: Offers both a vegan basil pesto melt and a classic vegan grilled cheese served on Texas toast.
ATL Grill: Features a vegan-friendly black bean burger topped with vegan mayo for a quick stadium meal option.
Mac Shac Cart: If you’re visiting Atlanta, you can’t skip mac and cheese. Thankfully, Mac Shac offers a creamy vegan mac and cheese version of the Southern classic.

Atl Fan Fare: For a more classic stadium-style bite, ATL Fan Fare serves a Vegan Smokehouse sausage topped with fire-roasted corn salsa, vegan parmesan, cilantro, and aioli.
If you’re looking for something fresh and plant-based between FIFA matches, Arden’s Garden has several Atlanta locations convenient to both downtown and Midtown visitors.
Our Arden’s Garden West Midtown location is only a short uber ride from Mercedes-Benz Stadium and sits near Atlanta tourist sites like the Georgia Aquarium and World of Coca-Cola, making it an easy stop while exploring the city. During FIFA season, we’ll also be featuring limited-time Match Day Smoothies at all Arden’s Garden locations, inspired by one of Atlanta’s biggest summers yet.

Victory Shake: A smoothie-meets-shake blend with banana, dates, cacao nibs, and almond milk that’s rich enough to feel like a treat after a long day in the city.
